Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I missed my evening meds before, and I was a mess, but everything settled down once I got back on them. Hang in there; it's temporary. Best wishes!
When you miss a dose, unless you realize it within a few hours, its best to just get back on track the next time your due to take your pills.
Give yourself time to get back on track and things to get back to normal and have the conversation with your Dr. about changing your meds at your appt.
Lithium is really easy to overdose on, so taking more than you should without a Dr.'s approval is never a good idea.
Take care.
I am super sensitive to meds and can tell when I’ve forgotten a dose. I know at times after hospitalizations and led changes I needed some assistance making sure I was getting the prescribed meds at times and had to write lists and hang them front and center. So missing a dose sort of signaled to me to be extra vigilant.
Thursday will be here soon so I hope you can stay focused with current med regime until then. Sending much support your way! You aren’t alone!
What are some positive things to think about and focus on today? I am totally nerdy and always suggest making lists. Make a go-to list of things to do and projects to work on. I make a cleaning list, a creative to-do project list, home decorating project to do list, gratitude list (sooo helpful), and some of it is totally mundane and some of it is really dreamy. When I get in a funk or in a terrible place I can turn to it as a reminder.
Cooking and baking - even if you’re doing it for others is good.
Sending hugs.
Dissociation is tough - I have definitely been there before. Many reasons for it in my case. I hope you can find grounding and centeredness and please be careful with the alcohol! Deep breaths. Take today with baby steps and be gentle with yourself.
I hope you caught some nourishing sunlight today and are able to rest well tonight! Be safe. Stay wise - you can get through this!
As for being allowed to "play with your sleep meds" if they're prescription sleep meds the more you take them, the faster your body will become tolerant to them and they'll stop working. So that's something to think about.
