Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I lost a friend in recent months after a long cancer battle, and part of my role, especially in the end, was sitting beside her talking and keeping stories that make us smile alive. She also battled a lot of mental health issues so always had lots of talk over.
For my birthday, after coming home from a morning project, I checked my mail and found a small handwritten card from a sender I didn’t recognize. I opened it to find my friend’s beautiful photo on a funerary mass card and a lovely letter from her mom. As I walked upstairs and unlocked the door to my apartment, the radio I had left on started playing the first few chords of one of our favorite songs by The Cure - and it felt like a beautiful hug from beyond from my friend on my birthday.
Thank you all for being friends too. This mental health stuff is hard work. Having peers is essential- and the space you make for that valuable exchange sure is appreciated by me.
What a wonderful gift from your friend's mom
I'm glad that you felt her Heavenly hug....xo
