Are you afflicted??? Love them, but I can get out of control. Tried to stick to $15 budget today, but went over by 15! Did get 5 new books though, and a gift for BFs mom. All set for a simple xmas too.

we have what are called car boot sales over here... basically the same thing.... love e'm..... don't have any locally I don't think... but there are a few in my hometown that I go to when I go back weather permitting.. otherwise I stick to the ultimate flea market.... ebay!!

oh I forgot about charity shops... thanks Nester!!!! I buy most of my books from there too.. I love the browsing......never knowing what you might find..... 35 years ago when I first started looking I found utter treasures.... but for the last 10 years or so people have cottoned on and you don't get the finds you used to.. and you don't get the church jumble sales you used to get either.... oh harking back to an earlier life!!

There are several good thrift stores around. I browse but often buy nothing. I found a crystal clear Christmas tree about 8" high filled with glitter which swirls around inside while the colors change for $2. I wanted to get another for a friend who admired it and best price online is $26. My favorite find lately.

You would love our Main to Main we had this weekend. 20 miles of venders and yard sales. The sale everything you can think of.

I love them as well... I get almost all of my books at them... I have about 30 to read right now and I've gotten some wonderful treasures that I really like

I am physically unable to walk past a charity shop!!! Thank god I found them because I could be in real trouble if my spending sprees were still in ordinary stores. now I can pick up a beautiful dress or coat or sweater for only a couple of euro and that makes me very happy. I get the buzz of buying 'new' stuff without having panic attacks about being able to afford the things. Got a fab dress last week for only 3euro and with heels I picked up in a sale five years ago for 12 euro, I felt amazing and wolfgang loved it on me. I donate a lot to the shops too as I regularly change my style of clothes...

I've gotten some wonderful things from yard sales as well... I got a lovely oil painting this summer for 10 bucks... It belonged to the mans' grandmother and it's wonderful...He just didn't want it and it was taking up space
I've done some great decorating (I think) on second hand finds and spray paint...smile

All my clothing comes from second hand stores.

Oh I hear those drums for sure! lol

What saves my butt is I work Saturdays when most yard/garage sales are held. If they are on a Sunday I miss them due to not reading the paper on Saturday night!

I do get my fix at my local antique stores and only if I have a few extra bucks during the week.
