simoncross, are you thinking of Cumberland Island, GA? I haven't been there for nearly 30 years. It was so unspoiled and full of beauty. I slept under pine trees with the beach just over a sand dune. Wild horses on the beach...shells everywhere. You could walk 9 miles on the beach and see not one other person. Heaven!!!!

And I am queen of lala land. Just wanted to inform all.

Got 3 - in no particular order

Western KY because its pretty and its now home

Downtown Portland OR - Portland is one of the most diverse cities in the country and just for that reason alone it is awesome but in truth there is so much to the city. I never get bored. Tho it is not my true hometown it is the one I claim.

Los Gatos/Santa Cruz CA - because it is home and because it has some great beach

I want a nice house on the lake nearby. I love the water. Summers would be peaceful during the week, fun with friends and family on the weekend. The lake is beautiful & peaceful in the winter. Plus I work at home so I could enjoy it.

Hanalei, Kauai, it's on the North Shore and is so fragrant, lush, and pretty with all the vegetation it has. Really laid back, rains a fair amount in the winter months and there are wild chickens all over the damn place but it just ads to the charm in my opinion.
