Public librarys have internet that pubic uses.
Ea city county have houseing assistance. you can get into whats called emergentcy assistant houseing. More than likely you will be temporary placed into a motel n then either you can go into whats called state assisted houseing or in HUD assisted houseing program.
Find a HUD offcie. you will need ID n proof of income, it's ok if u have no income. they just half to check info out.
Then there's always shelters. shelters can give you referal to give to houseing assistance program. Find a HUD office. Hud can also hook you up w a case manager. the case manager will help you find n get into houseing program.
I pray that you haven't pawn your pc yet.
Oh if you don't have drivers lics DMV can provide you with photo ID.
I hate to say this but there are blood banks where people sale thier blood.

If absoluted needed to go just past mimia Fla where at least it is warm. You can also get photo ID there n apply for HUD houseing or any hosueing assistance program.

Thanks for the info, I've tried unsuccessfully to get housing assistance from a variety of sources. There is a shelter but it's always full. I get food stamps so I'll be able to eat. And the casinos are open 24/7 if I need to get out of the cold. It's finding a place to sleep that will be difficult. I'm worried about having my bag of clothes stolen while I sleep. And of course I'm worried about the violence that happens to homeless people. Out local library has stopped offering internet access. But I may try selling my blood. I'm worried about leaving the area because I get my meds free from the community health clinic and don't know that I'd be able to get them if I went somewhere else. I'd have to hitchhike anyway which is very dangerous. Again, thank you for your thoughtful reply.

Hi heretic-I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time. I can relate to the being homeless part, years ago we had a house fire and lost our apartment. I would check with the Red Cross and Salvation Army (one of them gave us a voucher for a free hotel stay for about 3 days). I would also check with Social Services and talk to them about your situation. They may be able to point you in the right direction and give some insight. While not always the best choice. I found some public bathrooms good as you can lock yourself in at night. I used to find some good safe ones hidden behind some of the quiet store. They give safe refuge from the weather and give you water and of course somewhere to do your business. If your really lucky a shower with hot water. Just case it out for a bit first though.

What about the agency you get your food stamps from, they have to know something to help. You cant just fall through the cracks like this, there HAS to be something. I will try and research this today ok, I just cant stand the thought of you on the streets.

I've been homeless before.I had to ask for help which was humiliating.
My depression actually HELPED some. I felt so low at the time I was depressed rather I had a place or not.

I dont know how cold it gets in Vegas but in my neck of the woods spome churches offer a place to sleep when it's below 40 degrees or if it's raining..

it was not a fun time but It was humbling and temporary.
