However long it is, make the most of it, trying to put things in place for when you DO have to be out of there.

Perfect, you will have 30-90 days and assistance in finding something more permanent. Take advantage of everything they have to offer.

Squeaky wheel get's the grease in these situations, show them you care about yourself, you know (personal appearance, good manners, helping others where you can), and you will find some of the staff will take an interest in your needs.

I can't see you as being overbearing but then I don't know you or your potential for outbursts. You may expect some to understand but there will be others who will not tolerate. Tread softly, don't be afraid to ask, and find a place safe for your laptop.

Aw. I'm so doing my happy dance in Thanking Jesus. I have prayed that you will obtaiin shelter n houseing. I will continue to pary for you n I will ask pray warrors at church to pray for you also.
It is true that while in shelter, you must safe guard your belongings. I personal wouldn't take my eyes off my lap tap even if I had to take it to bth rm w me.
I knew that you had strength to pull yourself up n onward. sometimes we just need a brain rest n collect info.
Please keep us up dated when you can. We soo do care about you n love you.
Please don't pawn your lap top. To me lap top is life line.
Oh ya when on streets stay away from 8th ave in any state. that is where the homeless arrive in town n out of n they watch.
Here it starts at 8th ave n exspands out to 12th ave.
Jesus has Never failed me so I believe that he will get u into houseing.
Can u work as in clean someone home. That's a possibily to little bit of eared money. even if it's only 1 job 1 day a wk. plus when bth r dorr close to clean the bth rm n tub, will getting into shower/tub is out of question but it can be a place to get a hot sponge bath.

Just know I have enjoyed your posts and getting to know you a bit and will miss your addition to the DS family. I hope you find a way to get back on your feet and will join us again. Hi Heretic, the link you provided yourself seems your best bet. I only hope there is room under the Shade Tree for you. Help, Heailng, and Hope is their motto.

Gently hold them to it by accepting gracefully any disappointment should they be full at this time. I would imagine if you volunteered yourself in any capacity they would welcome it at this time of year and you would at least find yourself a base from which to keep clean, eat, and hopefully should an opening arise,( I can only imagine some of the "clients" will be invited to family or friends the closer Christmas gets).

Let their good fortune become the opportunity you seek and so richly deserve.
