I often wonder who discovered you could drinks cows milk and how did they know?

Good afternoon all! I am counting down until I can go home from work. It's less than one hour now! I am glad that today is almost over.

As for who figured out you can drink cow's milk- maybe they saw baby cows doing it and thought they would try? I guess if you're really hungry, or thirsty, you'll try just about anything. I often wonder how people decided to try certain plants? I really wonder who tried smoking first? And who decided what would be good to smoke?

Speaking both of smoking and of trees communicating with each other, years ago I read that when there are trees on fire, they react by releasing gaseous hormones into the smokey air.

When these hormones hit the leaves on nearby trees, it triggers the trees to send their sap up and out towards the leaves as much as possible, making them more resistant to fire damage.

I love it - all of it for the first time in forever I feel like I am with people who finally get it. Its so liberating :-)

Here's a couple more things that usually come as a surprise!!!!

1) It wasn't Adam and Eve in the beginning. It was Adam and Lillith!!! They were both created at the same time, as opposed to the female being made out of Adam's rib. But Lillith was too uppity and unwilling to be subservient to Adam, so she had to go and then Eve was made.
Obviously, this is not considered to be true by all religious experts. But this is the belief that was held by many of them, especially amongst the Jews a long, long time ago and I think that there are still certain religious groups who hold that to be true.

2) George Washington wasn't the first president of the United States. He was the first ELECTED president!!! Until the election took place, some other guy was president. I forget who.

Good morning all and Happy Hump Day! I have a headache- still and now I'm cramping and am cranky too.

I finally convinced my hubby we should let the dog come inside at night. He's about two years old and has been outside for most of his life. This is because I work and I know hubby would never take the time to house train him and would never clean up after him. Anyway, he does really good inside. But, now that it has been cold outside the crazy thing keeps trying to go outside!

My morning is getting up like a zombie - blindly walking downstairs to out kettle on mash a brew then smoke while tea mashing. Finish smoke take said cup of tea upstairs then head for shower get in shower then get when realized I have my glasses, watch or other still on again!! Return to shower. Sometimes I get out and get dressed other mornings I get out part get dressed then return to shower as forgot to rinse conditioner-again. Finally get dressed make another brew to go then leave for work. Sometimes returning moments later to collect forgotten items :-)
