That everytime I have been to the psych ward they give everyone chest x-rays and don't explain to anyone why? What does chest x-rays have to do with mental problems?

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Seriously, there is no reason for it unless you had some sort of respitory symptoms. If the doctor couldn't even expain why I would refuse to pay that bill. They don't run cheap.

Guess#1: Could they be checking for TB considering the ward situation, and the fact that TB has made such a strong comeback and is resistant to anitbiotics these days?
Guess#2: (and where I'd put my money) Checking your heart in case they decide to administer electro shock with or without your permission?
I'd still demand to know why!!

I can think of no explanation....
You can also have it and have no symptoms. It was just a stab in the dark. There is a much simpler test but it takes longer to get results than an Xray.
But you've got rights, especially where it comes to unnecessary Xrays.
