Do your parents still buy you birthday gifts?

My birthday is coming up and My parents told me today that since I am no longer a kid I don't deserve presents. How many of your parents still get you birthday gifts?

not here, I get a card or a phone call from family members, but I'm a big girl now, and it's not all about me anymore.

Mine are complete losers - haven't gotten anything from them since I was 12. They didn't even give me a card at my wedding! But rest of family and friends make up for it nicely, thank you very much.

My parents give me one or two gifts they think I would like. I also do the same for them. Do you buy your parents a present, Princess?

After we started speaking again I always at least got a card with money and some years if my ass was really destitute I could talk my mom out of a pair a tennis shoes too.

Princess, I believe that making the "right" moral and kind decisions should not be based on how others treat you. In other words, why stop getting thiem presents just to punish them? Maybe if you continue to buy them presents, they will do the same for you? In any case, not doing so seems rather petty...

my parents still give me and both my grown sisters gifts...but then birthdays are big in our family so that could explane it =0)

We all still exchange gifts at birthdays and at Christmas. I'm happy to say that my family is very close.

Both of my parents are deceased (no loss regarding my father...sorry) but up until she died my mom always celebrated my birthday in any way that she could.

With the way the economy is right now i really can't keep affording to buy them presents. I think that if they don't buy me anything they're not going to get anything either. That's what my friend told me to do anyway. She told me that it would be fair for me not to buy them anything for their birthday anymore if they don't get me anything.

My parents buy me a small gift at Christmas and give me money for my birthday so i can get something I want/need.

I always had birthday celebrations with my family when they were alive
What I wouldnt give to be able to buy them a present and a cake now
Enjoy the time to celebrate one another
Its not about the money, life is so short and the love is so special

Birthdays are a big deal in my family. Yes, they always get me a nice card and a little something or fix me a nice dinner.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
