i guess i'm like a lot of bipolars=being around people is tough for me when i'm cycling-i really have trouble being around someone who blames me for their misery which can make me paranoid-i think the best way to be friends with someone is to be yourself and let the chips fall where they may-thanks for the post!

4Me, unmedicated=extreme unpredictability

people tend not to like what they don't know; they think I'm funny but the bonding is tough unless they can relate to me

the people who do are my kind of people

So, yes, having friends/relationships have been hard for me

But I am medicated now and taking one day at a time

I have been married to my husband since 1983, he is a wonderfull guy, I do put him thru alot I still have deep feelings of not being good enough or he will leave, i guess it is something I will have to deal with the rest of my life, as far as friends it's very hard for me to let people in, I dont trust easily, I have lots of on the surface friends but they don't have a clue as to the real me is.

Growing up I had very few friends, but they're still with me even though they live far away. Recently it has been hard making new and closer friends. With med management and therapy I'm coming out of my shell again and try not to seem needy, because I hate that myself. You have to find a strong person to be your "partner in life". I've put my hubby through hell and back but we're still together despite my BP.
