Ok I'm kinda new to this, but after feeling so down, confused, alone, tired, and over all rather dark 75% of the time. It was suggested I reach out for help and find support groups, I couldn't find any in my area but I found DS and honestly I hope this helps.

Hi! Always room for new friends around here. "dark 75% of the time" is a lot of dark, do you see a Psychiatrist or Therapist for your Depression? With the resources we have now, you shouldn't have to be dark 75% of the time....

I think you've already made a wise decision in helping yourself with your moods being dark by joining a support group! I'm new here also, I'm in a Insomnia Support group but will be spending a lot of my time here. So if you need to vent, I'm willing to listen as I'm sure many good folks here are.

Good luck staying away from dark places, although you could reframe exploring them as an adventure with a good therapist I reckon. If I ever look into the abyss I imagine I have a bungee cord tied around me... if I were to fall I'd bounce right back up safe and sound.

I have a friend with the same problem. Online support groups are great and I think it is important to reach out to a live person close to you when you feel you are about to have an episode. Do you have a local doctor or therapist that you could call?

    When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now  almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...
