Daughter used to be a huge fan of Miley Cyrus......now that I am listening to Miley Cyrus more than she is. She claims Nickelback is her new favorite band. Should I worry???

awww princes she has to grow up so needs to try a bit of everything you've been there done that so have earned the right to listen to whatever you know what you like she's still learning

Why would you worry about Nickelback? Not like she's listening to death metal or KKK rally songs.

Don't break my heart... my achy breaky heart... I just don't think I'd understand...

I used to HATE that song LOL!!!They even played it on the rock stations here in Tennessee!! That was years ago Vicky, he was a country music star one hit wonder from the 1990's

BP-I wouldn't be worried...my kids like nickelback too and they are 7 and 8. I'm so proud! (I'm a rock kinda person)

I wouldn't worry. She's 7. Next week her new favorite band will be this awesome new band she just heard of, like Queen, or REM or something. She'll change her preferences all the time...

i think you should worry - Nickelback SUCKS!

turn her on to some PJ Harvey or some Radiohead - or maybe TV on the Radio.

why would you worry if her tastes change? It will more than likely happen faster than you can keep up from now on....all you can do is make sure it's okay for her to listen to the stuff she will change to...good luck with that!!! (hugs) mark

i thought Nickelback had good values. but idk...idk why i think that, just did.

i'd be happy if she stopped watching Hanna Montana! I think that show is a bad influence.

But the music change...who cares? she's probably just going with what her friends like anyway.

It depends on what you are worried about....that she doesnt like the same music you do or that she likes Nickelback and you dont like them or dont think they are a good band for her?

Nickelback isnt so bad but I am not sure I would want my 6 year old listening. Is she 6 or 9? Does your stepdaughter like Nickelback too? That could be her influence

yeah, they go through stages. somebody on tv or music is so cool, and then all of a sudden the next year its lame. and even if the kids still like it, its hard for them to admit it. its just normal, i think. i wouldn't worry too much. but like shelly said, guess it depends why you are worried. i thought it was about the influence of the band/singer and the music.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
