theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??

Break out the Julia Child cookbooks and who something up....

I'm going to have some blueberry cobler fresh out of the oven....coffee and tea coming for that all important coffee break....

MayB, that sounds delicious. I unfortunately do not own a Julia Child cookbook. I know, that is a great sin to anyone who likes to cook good food, however, I did work in a french restaurant for a time and some of the things I loved best was warm baguette with real butter, french onion soup and coq au vin. I could go on but these are three of my favorites. Oh yes and some good wine so thats four.

I don't know how long it takes.. I have heard though that if you fly from New York to Paris you arrive like 2 or 3 hours before you left!!

I always wanted to fly in the Concorde! Now it's too late.
So we take the 8pm EST flight out of JFK and arrive at 7:00am Paris time. Where should we go first? Is the Bastille still there?

The French National Day commemorates the beginning of the French Revolution with the Storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789, as well as the Fte de la Fdration which celebrated the unity of the French people on 14 July 1790. Celebrations are held throughout France.
