Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I think as we're bipolar here we all are
a bit chemically sensitive.
I am just starting to reconnect with that thought
lately - I have become more aware of what is making
my feelings ebb or flow (upwards or downwards.)
The other day I was going into a meeting and I was nervous.
I had the option to get a coffee and I thought... mmm better not -
so I took an herbal tea and that choice helped a great deal.
The next day - I had a been so accustomed to buying a beer on Fridays
that I did so, but afterword I came home and just felt depressed and like
shit (sorry) from it - that I realized it's good to know.
Today I ate a good deal of ice cream and again I became aware of how it gave a momentary rush and thrill - but then I crashed and starting
feeling really down.
I just wanted to offer this. There can be so many factors influencing
our 'swinging moods' that for me it's just been difference from feeling the
grim sense of submission to it all and having the power to do something about it - to take back control and esteem.
Trying things out that work for stabilizing myself is part of the discovery and increasing mindfulness about it.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I think what we put into our bodies is VERY important... I've talked to a couple of people on here who've taken this seriously and really improved diet and added exercise and I've heard about wonderful results..
I HOPE to be doing a much healthier shopping at the end of the month.. High cholesterol scares me a little... I've been off the smokes for a few months now to I guess I need to move on to the next healthy thing....xo
