I know bipolar depression isn't the exact same as being bipolar but i feel almost all the manic symptoms and the depressive symptoms. The depressive episodes do last longer than the manic but i still have my pros and cons with each. Like with my manic episodes the pros are being more motivated and having energy to do things and i dont mind the racing weird thoughts. But the major thing i HATE about the maic episodes are my high sex drive. It's to the point it's irritating me very badly. It wont go away and it doesnt make it better that i'm on birth control pills that just messes with my hormones even more. It's not that i want to have sex with anyone it's that sex is constantly on my mind and i just feel that... you know... "feeling" all the time. I don't like it at all. I've done this for awhile and i just hate it. I don't want to be put on more medications especially when most medications don't agree with me. Ugh so frustrating

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
I'm not clear on whether you've had a diagnosis? Are you on proper bipolar meds? If so, which ones?
Unfortuantely there isn't anything else that will sort this - maybe you are on the wrong meds? But anyway there is always a trade off taking meds that we either accept or reject.
Meds will tone down mania and possibly prevent it - also they will help with the depression
Hope that wasn't TMI in return. Alas, I recognize that it is only information. Solutions lacking. Sigh.
Gentle support while you find your solutions, WNB.
