Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
There are plenty iof Mental Illnesses lots worse than being Bi Polar and I dont think anyone has a right to say gee for mental illness no it shouldnt be allowed. Spend some time getting to know someone with 190 alters some of which come with their own host of bullshit
We do not get to judge anothers pain which is why I said yes legalize it but with very strict criteria
I haven't watched the documentary about them, just read something that said they accepted a Bipolar guy. I told my boyfriend that he can go see other people and leave if he wants. I've been sticking around for him and my dad and that's it. I do love them, but sometimes I wish they loved me enough to just let me go.
As for God, I am having a hard time believing such an entity even exists right now. I am not worried about hellfire or any of that nonsense because it sounds like Mythology to me. There are only 2 people I really worry about and that's my dad and boyfriend. And I am very open and honest with them about how I feel, so my BF knows where I stand. He's been great through all of this but I still can't help how I feel.
(((hug)))
There is much help available, and you can change, if you want. I did a full 180 about 7 years ago. I still have the occasional bad thought on a random day, but no plan and I just kick those thoughts out of my head.
This is quite a trigger for me. My borderline brother, who has no worries, no financial problems who is lazy and uses people wants assisted suicide. For borderline? He wants someone else to do it for him, and I think that this whole thing is just wrong.
For someone with a terminal illness, I also think it is wrong. I walked my father through congestive heart failure and the last weeks he wanted God to take him. But he lived till God was ready. This fall, I plan on doing a year of Chaplaincy, which will include palliative care. Even those people are allowed to come to a state of acceptance and spend the last days with their loved ones.
As for God, he is standing right behind you. If you turn around, you will see that not only is he there, but he has been there all alone. Not an entity, but the sovereign Lord of the universe, who said, "I have put life and death before you, therefore choose life." Deut. 30:19
And death is not an escape, whether you believe in hell or not. It is a transition to another place. Are you prepared for that place?
"God" spoke to me during my psychosis and it felt more real than this earth. Then they pumped me with meds and "God" was gone. Now that's how I feel about "God." I just don't know if he exists or is just imaginary like so many other man made creations. This has devastated me a lot.
I do believe in assisted suicide for people who are in extreme pain and who can't get better. I never said I actually WAS going to do it myself. I know it's a possible option now. It might be a cop out to some, but to me it would just be making sure I FINISHED the job. I'd rather have a professional there who made sure I didn't survive the attempt with organ damage or something else that would have me worse off.
And I can honestly see people in my life getting on fine without me. If I felt like I was NEEDED it might be a different story. But I'm not NEEDED. In fact it would probably make their lives easier if I wasn't around.
how do you know you'd be prepared for what lies on the other side ?
none of us know for sure. i'm not suggesting hell, but i'm saying what if you just have to repeat the same thing over again, but with harder lessons... or you have to go to a sort of purgatory void zone for a really really really really long time, before you are sent back to try the same lessons over again. ?
don't know, just saying. really consider everything.
there's a movie about a girl who commits suicide and she goes to an alternate reality that is much worse than real life on earth was. i don't know, not trying to scare or threaten, i just don't think it's a very wise idea.
anyway, if i would have done it, i wouldnt be here to protect my son with whats going on now...
Yeah my Boyfriend apparently needs me which is why I've stuck around.
