I dont know if I would have said it in so many words but I know I would have said in a very rude manner with a very nasty look 'excuse me-others need to shop too' and my husband would have given me a nudge or a gentle pinch to hold my toung lol

I get like that. I hate the mall cause people stop dead center of the walk way with no warning and no appaent reason at least you knew she was looking at soup lol

I live in arizona and my husband HATES the pedistrians and even accuses me of thier behavior. Here people just walk where ever they damn well please with no care or concern for the vehicles... HELLO they can run your ass over people... And every one in Arizona especially the older folks think they are on a year long vacation... its sooooo annoying and the worst part most of them live here year round

again, if somebody said that to me in the store, to be quite honest, i'd probably get all wimpy and go home and cry over it.

still. the humor makes it worth it. sometimes humor has to be at someone else's expense.

Do you feel you were wrong looking back at the incident. I once pulled out of a shopping mall without looking properly and didn't see this car speeding up behind me, of course I was travelling really slowly so they had to slow down to avoid hitting me. I mouthed "I'm really sorry" to the couple that were in the car and they turned around and called me a "fucking stupid bitch" and then stopped at the traffic light ahead. I was petrified they were waiting for me so I pulled an illegal "U" turn in the middle of the street and went the way I really didn't want to go.

Were you wrong to say what you did? Only you can decide that. If she was that brash as to look at me and continue without respect for my delay, I may have considered she "really" wasnt paying attention. I would have approached it the way I usually do and move her cart. I choose not to decend to her level. I choose not to use my disorder to excuse my behavior. I would prefer to grow in a direction that hopefully sets a good example for others around me. Hmmm, maybe she has bipolar disorder, did that excuse her behavior? It doesnt sound like it. What an aweful world this would be if we all just behaved the way we wanted to because we could excuse it with a mental illness instead of working in a positive, moving forward direction.

My response is always to say "excuse me" first and then if they don't move I say "don't move too much!" and push by.
