Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
They put their lives on the line every day for people like you and I.
Walking past anyone with a snide remark , is going to illicit a negative reaction.....regardless of who they are ...store clerk...post man ....
I grew up in a family of police officers, and yeah, there are some A holes out there, but to generalize them into one group, is as bad as the general public thinking all bipolar people are crazy insane
Just saying
I think what you did and said was just WRONG. It was none of your business what he was doing. You perceived he was wasting time, but for all you know, he knew something was wrong, or was tailing her or pumping her for info about a case. Good cop, then bad cop type of thing, maybe?
I know not all cops are good - in fact not all people are good. We are all sinners. To single out this cop, to diffuse your anger about your home situation was just totally misdirected. Speaking your mind, means being intelligent and respectful to others.
If you really thought he was doing something inappropriate, you should have taken down his car numbered, noted his name and made a complaint to his supervisors. I think it is despicable that you "took the law into your own hands".
Work on your anger issues, and try and see others as people with their own issues, like PTSD or marriage problems and trying to make a living in a society with high unemployment, crime running rampant, and people hating you for being a cop. Think about him, instead of yourself.
You have major anger issues, and I think you need to get help for them. Even if a different cop hurt you at some point, it was not this guy and you are stereotyping them all. Sorry for being so strong and direct, but this post shocks me - not just the OP, but all the people who replied you were justified.
Experiences can be misinterpreted, and are not a valid way of running a society. Having bipolar is not a license to assassinate people. I mourn the total lack of ethics which is rampant in our society. Think about your values, think about what Christ would have done, and then see if you still feel good about screaming at a cop in public.
Angela gets off soap box.
Too general of a statement ..IMHO
It's rude to just attack someone because your in a bad place.... maybe next time you want to vent, you do it here or a real life support group, to your therapist - something positive.
This officer, you "say" has nothing to do? Well, that would give him plenty of time to fuck with you! Or what if you Need THEM, dial 911 and when HE gets there, your the crazy mean girl, let's cuff her.
We have to try and keep ourselves safe, and good manners never hurt anyone, or got them arrested... inmo
I don't know about the other "Crazies" out there, but with my mood swings and behavior especially in my younger days, I often thought I belonged in a cage or drop off in the middle of nowhere, far away from contact with other humans. LMAO
:)
Good and bad really differ from person to person, as was noticed by Viktor Frankel.
Sensitive subject.
Everyone have a good and safe night and week.
I was raped by an officer when I was drunk. Not excusing him, just saying.
Three of my kids have been arrested by officers "several" times. I am told my kids were pretty shitty to them yet the officers acted with professionalism.
We have been pulled over by officers who treated us with respect.
I guess the only times I know of when an officer was an asshole was when he was provoked. It can't be easy to live in this world and a law enforcement officer and deal with the kinds of people they have to.
My third son went on a "ride along" before he put in his application. He said it is amazing what they have to put up with.
I guess if I was going to try to put myself in their place to understand what it must be like to be treated poorly and with predjudice and disrespect, I would look in the mirror and ask myself how I want others to treat me with a mental illness.
Bitterness and anger toward any group of people comes from unresolved issues and healing. Noone is perfect but to lash out or be rude to "anyone" just because we feel like it, is disrespectful. It really doesn't say much for how we are managing our own disorder if we choose to blame everyone else in passing. We will get what we recieve as a result of how we treat others.
Maybe some anger management, therapy for ptsd, learning to forgive or "let go" of whatever triggers you this way?
Love redheads!
You caint blame all of one tribe on the basis of 1 individuals actions.
No Cop/Woman/Redneck/Hippy or Zebra is responsible for the behavior of the rest of it's kind!!
We have to take the good with the bad, and just deal wid it.
Good cops do there job. Got a problem with the LAW? Than become pro active and change the National/State/County/Local ordinances to your liking. Case in point: Illegal Smiles/Legal Pot!
