Abilify lamictal the cure?

It seems like a lot of people are switching to abilify and lamictal as their primary drugs. Is this the new standard treatment and how is it really doing.

I haven't been on it long so I don't know how it is going to be in the long run. but what is the success rate. polling here seems to be alot more impartial.

lamictal is a mood stabilizer and abilify is suppossed to be a antipsycotic type of med the standerd pairing for bp.
I had the RLS when i got the abilify because i am on a high dose 40mg but the doc gave me something called trihexyphenidyl for the shakes and no side effects anymore. it is the first time in years i actually have felt "Just plain good"

I know a lot of people have trouble with the lamictal rash. and it seems that controlling the mania needs to be at a high dose.

Other than the rash. Lamictal is very easy to tolerate. I am on 400mg per day and I have no side affects. Where as a got alot with depakote. I think their both in the same class.

Lamictal - I woke up with a mouth full of blisters, my tongue swollen twice its size, and a whold body rash.
Abilify - Had a rash and it sent me into rapid cycling.

Both of the above were meant to replace Seroquel which I have been on for 5 years.

Also tried Geodon. I had flu-like symptoms and major heart palpitations.

How does Abilify and Lamictal work together? I'm on Lamictal on it's not working as good as I think it should.
