i have been on Abilify for 6 years and it's a Godsend and the only thing that works for me...I tried all the others. It has very few side effects!!!! Check it out! xoxo, Gracie

i've had a lot of improvement with lamictal and abilify but i also take lithium as well

I am newly diagnosed bp ( 3 months( and take lamictal and abilify, I find them to work. I haven't tried anything else.

Lamictal+Gemiwing=fatal rash.

Not good to my way of thinking. Trileptal and Abilify? who knows. My pdoc and I are waiting a bit longer for long term studies.

I am going to be the odd ball.
Tried both of them and I ended up in the hospital I almost had a stroke. and became really out of controll.
I have a fussy system so just remember if it works for you great. I have been through so many meds I can't remember them all. I wish I could find something that works for a long period of time.

I am on lamictal it works but I need a second one to go with it but the one they gave did not work for me I could not sleep on it I go back in one month to try somthing else what dose the abilfy part do

lamictal has def helped to regulate my moods but it has kept my mood pretty low.
i have tried abilify and it caused me to have akithesia, which is kind of like restless leg syndrome. very unpleasant.

i am on abilify and lamictal along with the other cocktail meds. nothing helps, still having ECTs and getting by as i can, should be ok for a couple months with this series.

I am allergic to Lamictal (THE RASH) , and abilify is way too stimulating for me. I can't sleep at all. It is also incredibly expensive. So no they aren't the cure all.

I had to stop taking Abilify before I nearly blew an air gasket. I was so volitile short tempered angry and aggressive. Not a good med for me :((

My doctor put me on Lamictal first, but then tried adding on each the big three traditional mood stabilizers: lithium, Depakote, and carbamazapine (Tergretol, Equetro, ect.), becuase Lamictal does not have good prophylactic effects against mania. When I did not tolerate any of those, he put me on Abilify, which has been great fo me, but he still feels it is not as effective at controlling mania as the other three and we really monitor my moods carefully. I am also on Topamax to help with mood stabilization.

Abilify is the best med I have taken so far. It really brought me back from the edge

I am on Topamax and Lamictal. I think it is a good combination. I am still stepping up on the Lamictal

Anybody gone from Lamictal to Abilify? How are they different?
