 going to try propranolol. I have tremors and anxiety and so hopefully this will help.


I pick it up in a little while and just reviewed some of the side effects that I might expect.


Anybody who has experience with this I would appreciate input! peace!

I have had it in the past. I didn't get any side effects. Very mild. Only thing to remember is never to stop it suddenly - talk to your doctor if you have to come off it. It's a beta blocker - coming off them suddenly can cause heart problems.

Definately worth a try to help with tremor and anxiety.

Propranolol has a high occurrence of increasing Depression in patients predisposed to depression as a psychiatric condition. So its something to keep an eye on.

And remember it is made to treat various heart conditions and hypertension, so don't ever just stop it without your Dr.'s permission.

Hope it helps with the tremors.

Good luck with the new med. I read it helps with anxiety and tremors so I hope it helps you with those symptoms.

betablockers helped my daughter for a couple of years and kept her (bad) panic attacks at bay. she had no side effects and no problems coming off them when she didn't need them anymore. these days she takes a klonopin if she gets very anxious but this only happens once or twice/year. good luck with it and it is also very good to see you. hugs

thanks irish!! yes I must report back that it IS working pretty well. My heart doesn't race so much and it feels like I am more grounded in what I am doing, rather than distracted by the attacks.

    So I have been having a lot of health issues and my cardiologist felt that he didn't get clear enough images of my heart in the office, so he wanted to do a Trans-esophegeal heart Echocardiocgram in the hospital. I was pretty nervous about it, because I've never had any procedures related to my heart or any other major organs. I've had knee surgery and thyroid surgery, but to me anything to do...
