Well suicide is painless, and the harmonic tone is boring!
are you enjoying the 'monica?
and frolicked in the Autumn mist in a land called Hona Lee."
Good job boxy. I stayed until the end to enjoy the scenery and listen to the accent.
Harmonica does not have to be boring. My dad walked around with a harmonica in his pocket until the day he died. At random he would pull that thing out and play something. BUT, on Saturdays it stayed out all day. Something jazzy going on and by late afternoon it was a hoe-down. Mama clapping her hands and doing that funny dance with her feet, skirts hiked up. Fun times. Kids giggling.
There must have been a couple dozen harmonicas in that house and mother divided them up amongst my dad's children. We would pretend we could play those things just like daddy but it was more of a humming or play by ear if you will because we had been around it so much. We even put the combs up next to the harmonica to get that funky sound.
Point - Play with it. (LOL) Really play with it until you are comfortable with it. Carry it around with you and whip it out when you feel like a song - try humming a song into the harmonica and get jazzy with it.
Hope you keep going with it - looking forward to the next one.
Disclaimer: Any perceived innuendo (whip it out, play with it) is purely coincidental. This time I really do mean the harmonica.
