Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

A little about myself im a disabled veteran dealing with bipolar and a few other issues. Im currently taking meds and still trying to find balance. I have a hard time coping with my emotional swings and tend to resort to aggression. Its hard to make and keep friends and relationships. Idk what else to put so I'll leave it at that.

Depakote was the only med that got me under control.
I have been a member since 07 , I hope you find as much support here as I have .
Stay active on the boards , Post Topics. Make replies, that way we can get to know you, and you can get to know us !
Around here everybody is pretty much the same amount of "quirky" so its not to hard to meet people and not scare them away. I hope you stay around and give it a chance and find some friends.
Finding Balance whilst dealing with BiPolar and PSTD is not an easy feat, but with a good Psychiatrist, a good med cocktail and regular therapy you can generally find some stability in your situation. Many people use Support Boards as kind of a start to "learn" how to meet and talk to people, kind of a jumping off point to learning how to be comfortable with people in the real world. It's work, but it can be done.
Hang in there and hopefully we'll get to know you a bit better.
