So 26 km in 86 minutes. Long, and hard. But I am glad I did it. I always feel so much better when I ride.
I went out riding and felt great for the very first time this season. I rode 27.4 km in 87 minutes. I also broke my all time SPEED record, hitting 66.6 kph or 41mph. I had a west wind sweeping me down the hill, and I thought my bike was going to fly apart. I knew I was near my personal record. But I don't advise anyone going that fast! LOL
My hands are going numb a lot, so I am going to take my bike in and see if it can be set up better. Hopefully tomorrow.
And you still ride, so good for you, a high five, you go!
The steroids, yes a real quandary, hope you are doing better as you can be
I DID get on the bike
Haven't gone anywhere yet, that's probably because i live one block to work, 2 blocks to grocery store, bank, pharmacy, and bus stop.
I miss it and reading all your motivational posts was great Marlene!
Am sorry about your migraine, did you have a better ride?
It's in my apt. because where it's usually locked yup some painting is being done on the stairways above where I lock the bike.
I had to radically cut back my bike riding, our air quality was so bad. Then we had a 3 day storm, which cleaned it up, but the smoke came back in.
Yesterday, the wind was blowing in from the SE, and the smoke comes from the NW. So a good day to ride. I did 31.8 km in 98 minutes, 11 seconds. My average speed was 19.1 kph. I also got my second best time on one sprint. I was 7 seconds off my record. I flagged totally at the end of the sprint, which is also near the end of my ride! Oh well, next time the wind comes out of the west!
When I got home, I got really sick. It was warm, and I felt good, but I really pushed and probably went to hard for not riding for a while. So another migraine or?
I just love to ride, but I think I have to cut back a bit, till I work my way back up to speed.
So 24.4 km in 78 minutes!
I had a wonderful ride through Glacier National spark in Montana. I mostly stayed in the flat, but tried to climb a small mountain and ended up walking my bike. My lungs are a mess, even though I have never smoked! So I will be trying to see a long specialist soon.
I rode 17 km in 73 minutes! It was beautiful riding through the mountains and trees in the mountains!
17K is 38 miles? That is a lot of miles Marlene! Riding through the trees sounds relaxing and energizing at the same time
Glacier Park in Montana sounds gorgeous, is that by Lake Louise? Beautiful area looks like, was there at age 2 but no memory.
Riding the bike does give my lungs a work out, I am still smoking, been a smoker for 30 some years, I wonder if the riding forces out the yuck, struggling and working now on that.
