Beautiful ride and day. Showers all the way up but dry coming back. No wind.
I rode about 45 minutes today...Doing some shopping and took the cart. Hauled some groceries home, and it was a good work out for my legs. Sunny but cool today. Rain/showers return tomorrow though.
I used to have a bike cart, carried my daughter, groceries, laundry, what have you.
Used it for many years, it was not that heavy, I could even haul it up a flight of stairs when I had an upstairs apt, with outside stairs, I kept it inside, was afraid it'd get stolen or the weather would affect it.
Good you rode 45 minutes! Biking is so good for physical exercise. It is one of the best ways to keep fit I think and it's low impact too, one can go as slow or easy as they like, or use a three wheel tricycle bike for more stability, which is the kind of bike I have now
I rode for 61 minutes, 19.2 km. my upper body really hurt, but the legs were strong. My right knee continues to be in pain, I'm hoping the bike riding will strengthen it!
Good to hear you are riding meander me. A 3 wheeled bike would be very neat. We had some rain last week, but it was good because it greened up the grass quite a bit!
That is cool about the bike cart you carried your daughter and stuff in..I have a cart that I load groceries in too.
I too think bicycle is great way to keep active/exercise. I am looking into a tricycle too,i am getting older and it does give you much more stability. There are several older people in my area that ride them as well.
Glad your posted meanderme and Marlene...
Marlene, Good to know that you got out and rode despite your pain. I don't know if I could or would do it but I think I am like you in that I have a love for riding. I hope that your pain levels subsides as you get stronger.
I rode this weekend about 30-35 minutes. Weather was showery and cool.
Temps are going to be in the 80;s next week.
Still cannot figure out why my odometer will not work...I guess I will have to take it into the shop.
I would much rather ride outside. I was going for 60 minutes, but my knee started hurting so I wimped out and quit. If u had been on the road, I would have just ridden harder to get home.
I think I might have to see a PT again. I hyper extended my knee in Jan. when I fell on the ice and it is not stable. I need to do some exercises to strengthen it.
Wow, 55 minutes, Marlene that is really something
Good luck with the knee
Do today I rode a real inside bike for 60 minutes. I burned 600 calories, and rode 13.5 miles. I'd like to get a bike like that for indoors at home.
Went a little over 10 miles sunday/Looks like I'll have time to ride again Thursday/
Hope everyone has a nice week.
My feet are very swollen, and my body aches. I know the feet have something to do with the RA meds not being strong enough. I hope they don't keep me from riding a lot this summer.
And hello Louis, nice to see you posting. Your 10 miles would be about 16 km. My 25 km would be 15.5 miles. A little too much this early in the spring for me!
I have been riding at least a half hour three times a week. Cannot figure out why my odometer is not working.
Riding one hour Marlene WoW! Does your bum get sore or do you have a good bike seat. If I ride an hour I can feel it on mine.
meanderme..hope your riding and enjoying yourself.
