THANK YOU MARLENE FOR YOUR ENLIGHTENMENT .
Some of us have JESUS in our heart and don't know much about all the theology involved.
For a person to have their opinion is acceptable but for that person to keep PUSHING their views down others throats is SHAMEFUL .
That is why many of the epistles were written. To stop bad doctrine!
Galatians in particular, Paul is scathing to the people there, who have gotten involved in some kind of cult - gnostic or some version of Jewish mysticism. Even the first 3 chapters of Revelation, Jesus blasts many of the churches who have "lost their first love", "tolerate Jezebel" etc.
I do agree that having Jesus in your heart has to be the first priority. I do not believe you can be a Christian if you are not committed to having the Holy Spirit lead and guide you, by having Christ in your heart.
What I worry about, is all the young Christians, or non-Christians, who might be deceived by half truths into thinking some doctrine is right, confusing them for years, or even derailing their faith!
I am not just talking about this thread, but any thread. For example, what if a Muslim came in and starting talking about how Jesus was the Messiah? Muslims believe that! But what they don't tell you at first, is that Jesus didn't die on the cross, Judas took his place and the gospels are all corrupted.
I hope my last post was not threatening. I do believe people need a solid foundation in their faith, and knowing that the Bible is 100% true, when it says Jesus is God, and the Trinity is true, is very important.
This is my concern also Marlene :
