Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post - I really don't know how to start - but here goes - I lost my beloved wife in 1995 24 years ago and still feel the loss of her not being by my side - - We met and got married in 1978 and had 17 GREAT YEARS of being together and we have two children from our years together - they were 12 and 15 years old when they lost their mother which was also a great loss to them both also - We thank god was a very close together family - even though when we bought our home it was base on both of us to keep the house going but thank god I was able to keep our home - My children loss their mom but by any means, I wasn't going to let them lose their home also - I didn't start dating or seeing other women until around eight years later - when both moved out and went to colleges - years later I did find some one that helps fill in the emptyness I felt inside and after a while, we got married which last for a while but then it staeted changing it was like we were a brother and sister type of love. After a while, we split up and she even mentioned, sorry John but one of the reasons that our love change between us is because as I know you never got over your other wife - Which was very true - So that's the history of my life - now at the age of 71 and I'm very close to both my son and daughter - I'm feeling this great big lost feeling
stronger than before - An emptiness that's is so strong I just feel I have to release with someone - someone to talk too about what I'm going through now even 24 years later . Sorry about the long post

I'm feeling down,, and got alot on my mind right now. I got grief going on, on top my depression and anxiety and now I got to worry about somewhere to live since I can't afford living here since my mom passed. So many bad things have happened since my mom passed. One thing after another it seems. Yesterday our fence fell from a storm that hit, had to call someone to prop it up. Thank...

I have no first hand experience to offer to your particular situation. The recent loss of my youngest son (35) is what brought me to this particular forum. Thank you for the reminder that having my beloved husband of 39 years to lean on during the crisis is a blessing within the tragedy. It is quite the blessing, no?
I've been on DS for quite allot of years for other mental health issues. This particular forum is slow moving but DS is a big site. I hope you'll take the time to surf some of the other forums for other flavors of emotional support. Emotional support can make all the diff.
For what it's worth
Your post wasn't long for DS. Rambling allowed here. Sorting through emotional issues ain't no Twitter Tweet-off.
Welcome aboard.
My grief is not only new, the demands of inheriting 3 grieving grandchildren (6, 4 and 1) have kept me too distracted to pay much mind to my own needs. Some days the grief hits me like a freight train. I am never quite certain if the grief is mine or the children's. I am even less certain ownership matters.
