Son's death

My son died very recently. It was sudden death and we will never know how he died. It is such a shocking situation to be in.
I would love to hear from other parents who have been bereaved. How do siblings cope with sudden loss?

I am so sorry for all who have lost their children I can't imagine the power of this grief

I am brand new , first time Im trying not to die of a broken heart ...We lost our son May 15 2011 , I found him in his bedroom he was 25 yrs old . I can still hear myself scream his name over & over . I was alone at 2:30 am . My husband was at work , he is in transport was over 3 hours away . I called my dad he lived 2 houses down . He was so hurt ,mom had just passed in July 2010 , less than one year , I was so lost , my dad asked if I thought if Ryan (son) did it to himself because of my mom passing , they were really close, I got mad as hell and said NO ,he wouldn't do that . than I hear my dad saying I lost the 2 people I loved the most ,,I was crushed ! My dad was always my Hero , loved him so much , if I had a question I had to asks my dad 1st ,if he told me the sky was purple I would believe him . Than he got diagnosed with leukemia in October 2011 and passed in May of 2012 . I believe that my dad did die of a broken heart , I feel it made the leukemia progress faster . I miss my dad & mom Very much, dont get me wrong , but our son I`m not dealing with it very well even after 8 years my heart is so broken . I cry every day , my heart feels a ton of sand at the pit of my stomach . I have been in the hospital for my depression ,it helped for a month or so . I am on some medication for all of this , I go to counseling , it helps . My husband doesn't talk to me about our son , he doesn't like to see me cry so now I cry in the other room , says he has to be strong for me , It doesn't help , kind of makes it worse . I just want to go to sleep and stay that way . I say before I fall asleep , If I die before I wake I pray the lord to my soul to take , makes me feel If I die I will get to see my family again .
Loosing a child is so different from loosing anyone else in life . My pain is still with me at time I feel its 10 times worse

Huge hug for you Ryan'smom…… I am so very sorry for your loss and I'm sorry that your husband isn't grieving with you.... He may be afraid to let himself go

I have never lost a child so I can't imagine what you're going through
