hi I am new here.. I lost my beloved boyfriend on april 30,2018. He is a police officer in the Philippines and was shot by an addict during their buy bust operation. We were together for 4 years. He is my childhood classmate but I never knew that he already had a crush on me since then. We met again after graduating college, the handsome, nice, responsible and loyal man that I never knew, that I will met in my life. By the way I am a nurse, after 1 year of being in a relationship with him I decided to work abroad, I asked him if it is ok for him that I will work far away from him, his reply melted my heart and loved him even more, he said "that is already your dream before we met, why should I stop you". He is a simple man with a simple dreams, eventjough we are in a long distance relationship, he never failed to show his love and loyalty to me. Everyday no single hour that he will not text me or chat, even at his work he will videocall me and even when he is in the operation and driving his motorcycle, he will just tell me to hang on and talk to me. Everyday we are part of each others routine even though we are apart. Before we go to sleep and waking up we call each other everyday even when taking a bath and brushing our teeth, he is part of my everyday. We already planned pur fiture together, our marriage, our family and dreams. Then a sudden event changed all of that, he died while me taking good care of other patients, I was not there to take good care of him. I flew back in the Philippines saw him lifeless and it pains me. All of my dreams and part of me also died along with him. 3 months passed and the pain is still fresh. I dont know how to battle this fucking pain that kills me everyday specially I am alone here working abroad, I am afraid waking up and going home after work. I love him so much and I miss him every single day. I just want someone right here to talked to. sometimes my friends here in Germany, don't care at me anymore. They think I am already ok, but I am dying inside everyday. Can someone share their little time to talk to me? It will be telluy appreciated.. thank you.

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

This would be a devastating event ….. If you can I would try and find a real life bereavement group..... It would be a good source of support for you
Grief is a process and this is going to take it's own time and it hurts so much
We have a good board on here called the Widows and Widowers board for people who have lost their life partner
People are in different stages of healing on there and it's a good and active board
Big hug and a blessing for you..... Again I am so sorry for your loss ......xo

I am so sorry with this sad news and the terrible way of his death. Your boyfriend was a courageous person. Being a police officer is a very challenging work, and the way his life was taken is so brutal and pathetic. I hope that those responsible for this incident are in police custody and that justice is soon to be served.
You have a happy optimistic memory of him! The time you shared together will always have a fascinating meaning. No matter what things appear as now, inevitably you and your boyfriend will continue the expression of love, someday. The reaction to death often hangs over places inside the heart and mind as slowly pulling hopes apart. Though not so true are the thoughts and feeling of hopelessness. Keep your idealism alive. Picture the two of you standing on the shores of ocean-filled moonlight. Stay with cheerful thoughts to guide you to what you really know is in your heart, and that's a great deal of generous love.
Quite certainly you should talk; pour out your words as you feel the need to express it all. Use the power of words in your favor for the sake of healing and comfort. And it is a brave choice you made to join a public support forum. This place is filled with people much like you, sharing feelings, thoughts, and emotional challenges is most helpful. And we all have something(s) we resent, so it matters to share feelings; for the sake of a respite from smoldering types of emotions. Feedback helps; group efforts uplift you! I hope this to be a great time of healing and recovery from your heartbreak. Your brave boyfriend would want that you should live on with a peaceful spirit. Bless you to do so.
In the midst of all your pain, I am deeply moved by your courage to open up and talk. I send you a warm welcome to this support forum! Cheerful hugs to you!
