You mean that there is a name for IT? Im not weird? Trichotillomania, that big, long word that is the bane of our world. With knowledge and support of others we CAN break free and live without this disorder interfering with our lives. Lets keep this uplifting and supportive and give each other the encouragement the other needs to make it to that next day.

What a great idea! I've had Trich since I was 7 or 8 and I am going into high school in the fall. I have grown my eyelashes back only to pull them out in a month. I've never triedto stop pulling my brows- I figured it was impossible. I recently began pulling on my head, and it was like a wake up call. I have been completely pull-free for 12 days now, and I am intent on reaching my goal of having my eyebrows and eyelashes back by Freshman year. I think this is the time. :)

I have to admit when I was younger (I'm 25 now) I used to get way more upset about the effects of trich than I do now. I'm positive you don't actually want to end your life, because you're still here with us. Keep trying, get as much help as you can. I agree with what those lovely ladies before me have said. I’m really glad you came back here and decided to give it all another chance. Ending your life is no solution but sometimes it does seem like the only way out.. just remember that it’s not. We’re all here for you if you want to talk, vent or whatever else..

Hey, I'm sorry to hear you've had it so rough. And I'm so sorry I missed your last post, but I've been away from the site for a while as well. I'm glad you reached out to us, though. The bald spots on my head are growing in nicely- at least, there are not completely bare/bald pathes anymore. No such luck with the eyebrows and eyelashes...

Ooh hello!!!!!! It's been ages.

So good to hear about your head hair, wooooooooo!!!!! Boo about the brows and lashes. Maybe it's time to come back to the group ;)
