Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. I just started getting panic attacks in the last 6 months. They only last about half an hour. But today, it's been hours. I just got a new kitten on Sunday. He is such a love. He's been eating and drinking but no sign of pooping or peeing. I know he's been in the litterbox because of his paw prints. So I called my vet first thing this morning and was told to take him to urgent care. I forgot to take my meds and I couldn't find my glasses and my license is MIA at the moment. I went to urgent care. I missed my turn. I was frantic. I was in such a panic and my kitten was really freaking out. The assistant said it would be $175 for x-rays. I asked if they were necessary. She said to talk to the doctor. The doctor was super nice and loved Akira. He even kissed him on the head. He said that he is fine and that he is pooping and peeing somewhere. They dewormed him. I am home and resting. Still breathing heavy. Akira is not mad at me. I found my glasses. Now to find my license. I think I will eat lunch first. I hope everyone is having a better day than I have so far. I did intake with a real nice therapist last night. My first appointment is next Saturday. I have quite a few issues. She wants to talk to me about mindfulness. None of my other many therapists brought that up. She also mentioned meditation. I have a hard time quieting myself. Wish me luck!

You have taken the important first step in writing it out.
Practice even breathing to find the calm. The more you practice relaxing breathing, the easier it will be to be calm.
If you are nerdatiously inclined, Mindfulness has some interesting roots back to the 1800's in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Could be a good distraction while you await the convo with you new therapist.
