Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Maybe start to look for another job? I know it's probably not the easiest time currently to interview anywhere, but if you're working from home (??) it's easier to call up employers, do phone or video interviews... from home.
Even if you don't find anything now, I think you would feel better mentally for just looking. It will make you feel more in control.
Good luck.
Take time for yourself. Get away mentally from thinking about work. Some relax time and just enjoy yourself the best you can.
Perhaps the most important lesson I've learned in my job-hoppy career is that working in the fields I most love is the perfect way there is to ruin a great hobby. At the end of a career, work is so *not fun* that people have to pay me to do it. I have to pay somebody else to keep the work out of the fun stuff for me. Let **Them** ruin their own perfectly good hobbies to keep my fun fun.
Have you looked for ways to balance those work stresses?
NFF (No Fucking Fair!) Who wrote these freaking rules, anyway?
sorry to hear about how much you hate your job and how much stress it has caused you. I can relate to this. My first industry I hated with a passion. I hated it so much that I quit and was unemployed for almost a year.
Did changing the line of work make the anxiety and stress go away? Not really. What I find is that anything you get paid to do involves a certain level of stress, dread, and drudgery. That's life.
I agree with what Arfie suggested - if the anxiety follows you to each new job, then maybe it's not the jobs that are the root cause of your anxiety and frustration.
Could it be that the root cause lies elsewhere...? Food for thought.
reading your post it was like reading myself. The difference is that I did get layoff. First I feel anger after many years being there and just be layoff like I was nothing, than I felt great to be free from it.
Now I am suffering and doubting myself every second as I am looking for jobs and I am getting nothing.
I really don't know what is best. I am feeling so lost. I am doing a bunch of online courses to try change career but no clue what it should be.
Living like this is torture.
