I remember feeling so bad and breathing so hard and my heart was beating so fast. I was at work and I couldn't take it anymore, I wanted to save myself from embarrassment and didn't want people to think I was a freak or I was overreacting. I quickly rushed to the bathroom to calm down and tried to control my breathing. After about 5 mintues of doing that, I felt better and so I went back out to the front at work. My coworkers asked what as wrong but I told them I was fine. Shortly after, my assistant manager pulled me to the back, he said I can't be doing that duing work and that I need to get my life together. I told him my anxiety levels were high and that I just need to calm myself down but all he did was ignore it. After a period of time flew by, I noticed him writing an email to me and the higher ups. He had written a nasty letter saying that I'm uncapable of work and he made fun of my anxiety as well. Since then, I knew he wouldn't understand, and he thought that I hated him. I don't hate him, but his actions were not right. My anxiety has gotten better, but in that moment I knew I wasn't in a understanding environment and I needed to leave or else it will only make it worse. It just shows that not all places are friendly with this type of thing, and it's quite sad...
