Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Life has changed a lot lately, thank God. I am very into taking care of myself with eating right, taking my meds and supplements on time, working out at the gym. Yesterday I worked out at home. I've also been taking care of other things like plumbing, painting, house power washed, shopping, phone calls, sleeping better by taking two of my meds at night instead of morning, which gives me 3 or 4 extra hours of sleep, leaving me less time to be lonely. So lately I look at the clock when I'm in therapy, hoping that the session is almost over. I think I will be going to be on an as needed basis. Sometimes I have problems with my best friend. She is very jealous of my weight loss and keeping up with the gym. The other day she said she was off of her diet. That means lots of eating and drinking. I just said "didn't know that" and she said that she doesn't have to tell me everything. She used to tell me everything. She was in constant contact with me. We have known each other for 31 years. We'll, TGIF!

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
for what it's worth
officially, i've was released to "therapy maintenance" around the turn of the millennium. several previous relapses had taught me to take that maintenance seriously. i've come to think of my therapy maintenance as my spiritual diet. spiritually, too, you are what you eat.
That communication has changed in that friendship as you continue to improve and they stay stuck.
Here's to finding what works for you in therapy and continuing to find your balance!
When we change for the better, our old friendships sometimes die away. Sometimes we stop doing the things we had in common with this friend. Sometimes they stop doing the things we had in common. We start to get healthy in mind and body and we begin to notice these differences. This is when we have to seek new friendships. People change is the simple answer. We change, they change. It is sad at times to say goodbye to what we thought was a good friendship and also happy at times when we realize that friendship was based on who we used to be.
Glad your taking care and of your house stuff too.
And great about all the jobs you’ve taken care of around the house.
