Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. I think anytime you have a group of people together online, there is a potential for people to say things in a way which maybe they would not say in real life. Also, depending on how something is worded, it may come off as harsh when the person who wrote it didn't mean for it to be interpreted in such a way.
So we all just do our best, and try to be kind and support each other, and if something comes off as rude or as bullying behavior, either ignore it or perhaps try to discuss it.
I know if I ever respond in a way that comes off as rude or hurtful or anything like that, I do hope someone tells me so I can be aware of it and can work harder to phrase my responses better in the future. Because I would never want my words to be interpreted that way. I'm here to offer support to others just as I appreciate and am grateful for the support I've received.
If you put someone on ignore, that often removes the conflict fast, since your response is to treat yourself with kindness.
In some groups, discussions sometimes lead to misunderstandings, and where name-calling in posts happens, if it is reported, the moderators can help resolve this private message.
I'm glad this group is positive with each other and others in the DS community.
