So heres whats up. About a week ago, while laying in bed with my girlfriend relaxing, for no apparent reason my heart started to beat incredibly fast and hard, my hands were drenched in sweat and my face got hot. It lasted for about 20 minutes and i honestly thought i was having a heart attack. And for about every day since, the same issue has been happening out of nowhere multiple times throughout the day. I wound up being hospitalized two days ago for these issues and had an ekg done and thyroid tests. There was nothing wrong with me physically so all i can think is that it is anxiety related. Im an ex addict and alcoholic and went through homelessness and multiple incarcerations before i got clean. I havent used or drank in over a year now so i have no idea why this is happening. I work around 40 hours a week as a chef and asode from that, im pretty stress free. I need some help, thanks everybody.

A few months before that I had moved from my hometown and I think I was subconsciously building anxiety and worry from that and it just reached a breaking point. You might feel fine Day to day but could be harboring anxiety subconsciously. Then because you experienced that attack, you worry about it happening again which actually triggers another one. It's a cycle. I highly recommend seeing a therapist or doctor and explaining the entire situation. And always remember you are not alone in how you feel. You will get stronger and find a way to fight back against the anxiety. Hugs.
I agree about having anxiety subconciously. I think that is what caused mine to come out of nowhere. I have had bad anxiety my entire life and it can manifest itself in ways we can't even imagine. Seeing a therapist/doctor is a good idea.
