Having an anxiety disorder made it where I was isolated a lot, but I have two wonderful cats that are like children to me. I am working through the issues in my life with the help of my Higher Power, and my psychiatrist, am lowering my anxiety medication, I am sober and I am learning to feel my feelings. I am recovering from the effects that anxiety has had on my life.
But I feel really sad. One of my cats is very sick right now. I may have to have her put to sleep. I am very, very sad. I just needed to ask for some support to help me through this, and prayer. My cat's name is Yassy. Thank you!

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

I will be sure to say a prayer for your cat. I'll also be praying that you have strength to make it through this time. It's always hard to watch the ones we love sick.
Stay strong. We're all sending you good vibes.
I was able to take Yassy to the vet today; she had a fever of 107. They wanted to keep her overnight and do tests, but I was unable to afford they $1200.00 they wanted to keep her, and I felt very stressed that I was unable to afford the best care for her.
She ate some special food in the vets office, something called CriticalCare; it is very high in moisture content and Yassy ate all of it. The vet said that was a good sign. They think she has a viral infection. I was sent home with some of the special food and an antibiotic. I have been giving her water by mouth (with a baby medicine dropper) and the vet said to continue to do that, and to watch her. She is 3 years old.
I am going to give her the antibiotic and water, and keep a very close eye on her, but I still feel worried.
This is a major trigger for anxiety! But I made it without having a panic attack.
I just let myself feel my feelings, I let myself cry last night, I prayed, I spoke up and asked the vet all kinds of questions (something that I would not have done in the past) and I took care of myself by eating before I took her into the vet, and taking some aspirin for the bad headache I had from all the crying I did last night.
I was able to make it through a stressful day today without panic (and without drinking) and I must give the credit to God. And I am proud of myself for taking care of myself and my cat, even though I felt so bad, I was proactive in spite of how stressed I felt.
I appreciate so much love and support from all of you! Thank you!
I will keep you posted on my cat! God bless!
