Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Had a 4 day long panic attack. I tried natural stuff from a health food store. Holy basil, lavendar, kava, and a passion flower tincture. I also tried vistaril and walking long periods of time to burn off the anxiety. The walks helped and i felt decent yesterday. Today felt my hr go up to prob 160. I left work and went to urgent care. Everything was fine. They are setting me up with a heart monitor which I have done before and has been fine but of course opening to do it again. I habe been cleared medically time and time again but it is like there is no off switch to the panic attacks. I take zoloft daily and low dose klonopin as a rescue med. Which i took the benzo today to calm me enough to do the urgent care. Anything cardiac triggers me. I am fine with blood draws and ivs but getting my blood pressure checked and an ekg freaks me out. Does any one relate? Feeling so exhausted.

Yup, I can relate, all the way to the ER runs for what felt like heart attacks. My personal experience with ^it^ makes me want to congratulate you on handling ^it^ with a modicum of grace and dignity. I still haven't found a *cure* for mine and have resigned myself to managing the episodes with whatever tools I have at hand.
Yup. . . ^It^ is exhausting. Be gentle with yourself and ply lots of extra self-care while you recover. Welcome aboard. Keep us posted.
I went to the ER many times for my panic attacks as well. You are not alone. I take Prozac daily and unfortuntely has not kicked in yet as it is only been a week for me. My psychiatrist did give me some xanax 0.25mg but it does not do much for me as it is really low dose. I tend to double up or even triple on my really bad days. Its an everyday struggle but I am glad you are doing things to distract yourself. Walks are helpful, listening to music can be great too on your walks. Chamomile tea helps me sometimes, sometimes I take benedryl and its non addictive. Pretty goood alternative. Message me if you ever want to talk.
I do vlog my experiences and find just talking about them makes me feel better. Not many views but they are there if you are interested. I will post a link to my last one. The channel is Vegas Brisa
