Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
My husband of 20 years died suddenly in September of 2019. The loss and abandonment was unbearable. After 6 months under the guise of distraction I became involved with a man who had recently lost his wife to cancer. It recently imploded.... my feelings of insecurity and loss just could not be silenced. I feel such anxiety and loss. The anxiety has been a life long factor but after my husbands death and trying to navigate in a new relationship accelerated the anxiety level to unbearable. I am now in Theray and trying to unwind the feelings of abandonment and pain. I really want to get well and back to a place of gratitude.

Sometimes, I think I have ODD. I can be oppositional. It seems that the only times that I feel like cleaning are when I should be doing something else or I have to go somewhere. Well, not everytime but most of the time. Yesterday, I was supposed to be doing online training for work but instead, I decided to work on my kitchen table. Nationalday.com proclaims September 28th as Self Aware Day. I took a few snaps of various core values lists and tried to pick my top five core values (kinda hard to only pick 5). But here are my top picks. Feel free to list a few of yours too:GodLovePeaceStability Compassion

Writing it out is very important to sorting out feelings.
Sorry for your loss.
Your grief goes in cycles.
Finding who you are takes time. Figuring out what you want for yourself takes time. Everything that happened, is connected, however, separate each into it's own area to sort through the feelings.
Moving through grief is uncomfortable sometimes. Finding the better balance is going to be uncomfortable sometimes.
Keep writing, and keep working out the feelings, and you'll find your path to healing and well-being improvement.
I lost my youngest son (35) in September 2019, also. Just in time for the global shutdown and the loss of outside support. The grief and confusion of that deadly cocktail still escalates my anxiety on a routine basis.
This very forum is one of the more solid lifelines available to me just now. Writing out my anxieties of the day and sharing them here has helped me allot. Hope it helps you, as well.
Welcome aboard. Gentle support while you process that tremendous loss.
Be careful. Take some time for yourself. Talk to your therapist, let out all those feelings. Personally, I really like in-person support groups (in addition to this site). If you can find one in your area (for Widows, Widowers), it would be beneficial.
Also the time your husband passed, it was right before the Pandemic hit, so these past years have not been kind to you at all. Good luck on your healing process, and keep us informed how you are doing. All the best to you.
