Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Hi, I am the type of person that doesn't go to the doctor because I fear that they will think I am crazy and/or never believe that I actual do experience what I am experiencing. Specifically, my recent issues with anxiety has led this issue to become an even greater problem in my life. A little background to help understand what and why I am talking about this. I rate my anxiety pretty low on the severity scale. I have social anxiety and just recently begun having anxiety/panic attacks (whatever the nurse that day wants to call it). After my first attack, I finally caved and went to the doctor. I have yet to meet my insurance costs, so these visits are costing me around 300 dollars, which I cannot afford (MORE ANXIETY). Now that I can no longer afford a monthly 300$ visit, I am off the medications and am just trying to deal with it on my own. How do I deal with my anxiety without being medicated? It just seems like it is getting worse and my attacks are happening more often. I have done research and such, but I want to know what really works in the lives of others who are ACTUALLY dealing with similar issues.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I am sorry to hear that you are struggling with your anxiety. I too suffer from it and social anxiety is also a big problem for me. I have given up on doctors helping me with my anxiety as they insist I am lying or making it up. I have suffered from anxiety for a very long time but in the last 6 or 7 years it has only gotten worse. :( Since doctors have not really helped me I have been trying to find ways to help myself. One way that sometimes helps me is at night I listen to sleep hypnosis videos that are for anxiety and stress relief to help put my mind at ease. Now, this obviously doesn't rid me of my anxiety but it does help my brain to try and sort things out and helps to calm it down a bit. I also listen to some that are for chronic pain to help distract me from my fibromyalgia. It seems to help me by distracting me and giving me something else to focus on. This may not be the type of relief you are looking for but it's worth a shot, especially if you are like me where the anxious feeling keeps you up at night. Here is one of the videos that I have listened to

Time will set you back on an even keel. Time and going through the shocks will strengthen you and reduce the number of things that shock you. You can't get the same anxiety attack twice.
so yeah. Time, sleep vitamins. lying in bed and crying. Going swimming. Anything that can take you out of yourself, and when you're wallowing, the comfort and safety of bed.
Also set aside times of the day to have anxiety attacks. I have found that very helpful, especially when I'd get one at work. Just saying 'no, ignore this. don't do anything - wait till you get home and fall apart there' makes a world of difference.
Hope this helps. You are not alone.
