Herbal tea helps me with both the insomnia and the tummy problems. Peppermint tea, or chamomile. Sleepy time is my favorite before bed. Hope you feel better!
Anxiety is natural. When we lay down, we are putting ourselves to rest. The hormones are racing, and instead of galloping to the direction of fun times in rest, we often pull away.
Finding a relaxing routine to help you focus on relaxing away the tension prior to laying down will help reduce the sensations, and with rest, your tummy can relax as well.

As for the physical symptom, I actually have Crohns disease which adds to the IBS caused by such intense anxiety. I would tell your doctor about how your emotions and feelings manifest physically. I was put on a beta blocker Propranolol to help with the physical reactions to stressors and anxiety. Definitely ask your pdoc about it.
