I just wanted to give some of my tips that I use for coping with my anxiety and see if they help you guys^^ I've been dealing with it for a while and I've definitely figured out some of the things that cause it and how to help calm it, though these things may not apply to everyone I still want to try and see if it helps anyone out :)
So first thing that is helpful for coping with your anxiety and finding out what's causing it. Sometimes nothing causes it and it just happens out of no where but a lot of the time there is something that's making it happen. So try your best to find that thing and trust me it will be a lot easier to handle once you do (it'll still be hard and sucky but it'll be better) for me eating certain foods and drinking certain things that make my stomach problems worse causes anxiety for me. Especially caffeine and I know that's a common anxiety inducing thing for others as well. So I try to stay away from those things especially if something that usually makes me nervous is coming up.
One thing I do a lot to help me through anxious days and even bad weeks/months is download pretty simple straight forward games that don't take too much thought to play and don't have much of a story line. I use them as a distraction to help through the bad stuff and it really does help a lot. Since they're usually very simple I have no problem just deleting them when the bad times are over. I also love the sound of rain/my shower so sometimes I will sit in the bathroom with the shower on when in having a panic attack and it helps me get calm a bit more quickly. Or listen to rain sounds on my phone there is a lot of good places to find those one of which is "mynoise", it's a website that has a bunch of different sounds on it to help with relaxation and focus. Also spotify has playlists of rain sounds and there's also YouTube. Sometimes watching asmr mukbang videos is a helpful distraction for me and also it makes me hungry sometimes which kinda deters me from the anxious thoughts. One of the best things I think I'm very lucky to have is my dog, he is very helpful in keeping me happy and helping with anxiety and stressful times. Just spending time with animals can be really helpful to distract you from bad brain days. Even if you only have a fish, just watching them swim around is very relaxing. I think the final most important thing is just be easy on yourself. I've found when I cut myself some slack and try to comfort myself it helps me feel a little less bad. It's still gonna be hard but it's just nice to have your own back. Beating yourself up over something you can't control isn't worth it. I'm sure I have more things I use but I can't think of them and this is long enough already. Feel free to add more in the comments so maybe people can come to this post for help whenever they need ideas to cope with their anxiety.
