Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I am a type of person who can help others but cant help myself in someways. When anxious I have emotions of anger, hurt and guilt. I previously did have anxiety but it seems like I did not fully deal with it. I have issues sleeping and I have moving pain throught my body , sometimes it feels like my body is boiling and sometimes feeling cold. The fear of death comes and then I am in a state of panic yet anxious. Until recently I have been reacting to it in my flight or fight state where it would lead me to pace walk for a bwt half hour to an hour. But recently I have found doing EFT tapping which has helped me. I still feel anxious but I dnt panic as of late. I have a stomach pain which feels like I have a knot in my stomach which sometimes is at the top of the stomach and them moves and clenches towards the bottom. My breating increases ever so slightly and then thoughts race forward.
I have been dealing with this for 7 years where it has been on and off. It occured due to 2 sudden grievences of close family members and the stress of the responsibilities I used to have. And that no one else was willing to really help with the situation.
From that instance I didnt know i had anxiety until I was explaining my symptoms to my parents and thereafter my father gave me an idea of what his friend went through and his friends reality became my reality due to the anxious thought process.
These superficial pains have stopped me to progress in life aswell has gave me great insight and pain . About the person I was and the person I am now. And even though I have worked on myself to be a better humam being I still have issues which trip me up.
Recently something from 7 years ago has been coming back to the fore front and then thoughts which makes dreams, hence the no sleeping.but the one thing i could seem to shake off is the feeling of dying and that makes me more anxious and then I start to panic and look for solutions online(Google will do more harm than good).
I have learnt how to deal with issues but then suddenly after awhile seem to forget how to overcome them and then new and old techniques have to be re learnt.
I have learnt and understood things through the usage of youtube videos which i have found helpful and other resources. My stomach at the moment is the main cause of anxiety and some guilt which has been attached to it.
Due to anxiety my stomach acid has risen and I have due to all this anxiety created the GERD problem. That then created me to panic more as the gass started to travel and causing me to think i had a heart attack. And that was also one of triggers, my triggers are funerals, people dying and rain and people becoming sick or hospitals . These things cause me to panick and if one of them occurs I start my anxiety and fears and these things does not have to happen to people who are close to me to set off.
So this is what I have been going through....

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
And I think most of us are better at giving support/advice than taking it ourselves...
Yea, if I could take advice as well as I think I can give it, I'd be Perfect Perky Polly by now. As it is, I am suffering allot of the same symptoms you are and ready to admit the wisdom of my advice-giving antics are more deflection than wisdom. Some days. . . It's still funner to see myself as a guru on a mountain top than the nut case in the grocery line.
Welcome aboard, Chilanx. Hope you find stabilizing companionship here.
When it comes to physical medical conditions ... when anxiety is factored in, it changes the treatment plan in that the physical symptoms are treated, however, the feelings, emotions, and the pattern may take a little longer to work out to a balance.
Stomach...problems...associated...with...anxiety... often reveal chronic stress unreleased.
Putting all activities into a journal on daily basis often shows specific patterns that can be changed to help make it easier.
A friend wrote that she was having trouble with bowel movements on Monday. A written journal entry proved to be enlightening with the three hour telephone calls regularly on Sunday. So, she took a short walk after those telephone calls, and her stomach started feeling better for Monday.
