Hi need some advice on taking these medication together; I had been Taking .5mg of Ativan in the Morning and .5 in the afternoon and a Month ago I just started to take 50 mg Zoloft. My Dr. want me to wean me off from Ativan she want me to take only .5mg, in the afternoon 100mg of Gabapentin and at night 50 mg Zoloft fro 5 days and then be only on Gabapentin and Zoloft only. The pharmacist said there no interaction on these medicine and also check on Drugs.com and was the same answer. If anyone had taken like these type of medications at the same time? I trust my Dr a lot she is the best but I'm still afraid on taking the three of them together. (I suffer from Health anxiety) I know we are not Dr but I just need to know if anyone have take medications like these or something similar

Thank any advice will be very appreciated.

I am on prozac (a different SSRI, just a longer half-life than zoloft) and I sometimes take a 300mg gabapentin for sleep. Not sure about the ativan but I know it has a short half-life and won't stay in your system long. I'm not a doctor, but if it eases your mind at all, I am very neurotic about taking medications and about interactions and those three don't sound concerning to me (unless you are pregnant or something, obviously :-)).

I have taken zoloft and gabapentin for a while together, without any issues, provided I use a full glass of liquid.

Sometimes, we focus on a certain part of the picture, and it makes absolute sense to us, so when we add something else to the picture, we send our feelers out in all directions.

Hurrah for writing it out, it helps sort out the details.

I have taken Ativan with Pristiq and Klonopin with Wellbutrin. It is not uncommon to take an anti anxiety med with an antidepressant.
My doc says most people who have depression also have anxiety.

Not sure about the Gabapentin but 100mg is a very low dose. The normal therapeutic dose for people with nerve pain is 900 mg per day,
so 100mg is very small.

I would trust your Pharmacist and if they feel these medications together are okay, I would trust them. They know more about meds and the combinations then doctors do. I can understand your concern and I'm glad to hear you are not as worried now. Hugs GB

Thank you gramybear and Bon, I took it on Tuesday and didn't sit well with me, even thought was ok to take the three for some reason when I took the Gabapentin instead of relax me I couldnt sleep and I had the worth panic attack that I ever had, I talked to my Psychiatric yesterday and she said not to take it and since I will see her on Monday, we will talk about the next step to take.

Best wishes finding something that works for you.

I no longer am on gabapentin.

There are other medications out there, and keep track of when you take your medicine daily to help find one that may work better for your situation.

It's pretty normal to be on an anti-anxiety med and an anti-depressant or several different meds for Anxiety. I would trust your pharmacist and Dr. and try it out.

If as you said it didn't work out with you, get back in touch with your doc and readjust. Ativan can have horrible withdrawals, so be warned. you may need a longer taper.

I don't really know how to label this but I having a rough week and I can't say it's one thing.... I have a lot on my plate which is nothing new and I try to cope in many positive ways and do but I still have my moments.My kids more so my daughters talk to me about everything which I know it's cause of comfort and we are close.... however I really struggle with the venting about their dad which...

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!
