Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I've been recently been diagnosed with cerebravascular disease, in otherwords, I have hardening of the arteries and furing of the arteries in my brain, its likely that I have some furing and hardening of the arteries in my heart as well. I am finding this hard to cope with, one of my symptoms which I have had for a long time is memory loss. Which the doctors up until now have said and this is for years that it was stress and as long as I could remember Emma's medical problems I was alright. Suddenly this week after a ct scan I have a diagnosis. I am finding it hard to cope with.
I am struggling with other things as well I suffer from regular migraines I had quite a bad one yesterday and still hasnt resolved itself. I am also getting panic attacks as in I feel I cant breathe, when I am out and at home. I am generally scared.
Today is Friday 13 here, not that I am superstitious I am not but my disabled daughter is and wont go out or do much today. I know one thing that the phone wont ring it doesnt often my one friend wont ring, and there is no one else. My parents are dead as are most of my family, the others live in other parts of the country I live in Britain well Wales actually. No one will call in for a chat, that never or very rarely happens, my friend has a busy household, we have to make an appointment to meet up. It can go 14 days before we are in touch again.
I am living in a house with hole in the ceiling caused by water coming down from the wet room which we were told to have by a social worker, which we cant afford to get fixed, and the council wont help and neither will the social workers department. My last remaining family member thought of getting in touch with the council and complaining that it was shoddy workmanship that caused this problem.
Next week Emma (my daughter) wants to go to Tenby which is about 90 miles away, I like tenby its by theTheseaside, but I dread the travelling fast and slow cars scare me silly.
My day today will be, dealing with two dossett boxes for the week and then some ironing. Other than that I will probably read or watch tv and hope my migraine resolves itself. In between dealing with any of emma epileptic seizures that crop up she is disabled and as a lot of other things wrong with her.
The other thing I am having problems with is loosing weight. I've got at least 14 pounds to loose which I am having major problems with that, I so want to be slim again, I look huge to me, but probably not that big to others.
Now I am going to do the dossett boxes and shower, then the ironing after that other than doing housework which I dont like is already done. I am going to have a salad for lunch and a shake for tea.
One thing I forgot to mention that the doctor was talking about me having an endoscope done I reallly dont fancy that at all as I have a lot of burning sensations in my throat and stomach. Please Help I need support badly!
Something else i burst into tears over my weight this week.

It's bedtime but I heated up some coffee to take my pills with and made a fresh pot so I can have some as soon as I wake up tomorrow a.m. I've been on a roll for 2 days with cleaning and getting other stuff done. I bought a new cell phone about a week ago and I've been having some issues. I stopped at Verizon and a nice young man jumped in to help. As a result, I was able to get an iced...

my recovery from trauma induced amnesia has made me extra aware of memory issues. regaining my lost memories has been far from simple. i was decades into using psychotherapy for my recovery before ct scans were a viable source of information. they are still not overly useful in dealing with trauma induced memory losses.
this has me wondering if your memory problems are trauma related. just wondering in a not-mine-to-sort sort of way.
i'm not even a little surprised that your new diagnosis hit you harder than emma's medical problems. it sounds downright natural to me. no matter how close i am to another person, i am still closer to myself. my own illnesses are far more personal, especially with the stresses attached to family caregiving. caring for them is hard enough when i am feeling fit for the job.
crying with you on the weight issues. i am on the opposite end of that spectrum and my weight is still falling. is today the day i will blow away in the next strong wind? i live in a very windy region, so the worry is not as sarcastic as you might think.
sigh. . . rocking you gently and crying with you. gently. i really might break in half if you hug me too hard.
I am not saying that everything that happens to a person is stress related but how you described your memory loss it could from stress. I have a good memory but I find myself forgetting at times.
