Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
My wife and daughter are heading out to Cali today to check out one of the schools my daughter might go to. They're only going for a long weekend, but I've got some anticipatory anxiety going because of it. We haven't been apart like this for a long time 'cause of the pandemic, and they're going to look at a place where my first child might be moving. I know it's all going to be okay... my son and I can hold down the fort. And, it's supposed to be a beautiful weekened here, so I see some good, quality relaxation in my immediate future. It's just that I'm still not really comfortable with "normal" anxiety that any breathing person would feel, so I get a little overly focused on the feelings at times like this.
Anway, just touching base with people here to say I'm feeling a little squirrely and see how others are doing.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

It's "change" that makes you anxious. Yes all will be fine.
RELAX. Enjoy the weekend, it will be peaceful!
Do something fun with your son. Just you and him. It will be a nice time for you two.
You are going to be okay. They will be back before you know it.
So yeah, a couple of relaxing days. Maybe, hopefully, get to spend some quality time with the boy.
I've even seen the first butterfly of the year flying around today. Transformation is in the air.
I found that helped me, too. I would get all worried about something upcoming, but in some strange way felt this relief when the day finally arrived. Now, I can finally count down until it ends! Anticipatory anxiety can go on way longer than the actual event that fears us.
Have a great weekend and with your son!
