Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I arrived at college like 5 weeks ago or so. But I still have 0 friends and whenever I go to the cafeteria and my hiding place is taken I can only think about how much they’re all judging me, whether they are or not. My brain just tells me I’m a jerk, I’m fat for eating so much (even today when it was likely my only meal for the day... so that seems silly but other people don’t know that), everyone thinks I’m ugly, people are judging me for not spreading the butter or cutting my food normally, etc. etc. People are judging me for what I’m eating. They look at me and think I’m so fat and disgusting, that I’m so awkward I’m not worth anyone’s time. That I want to be alone. Those are the things my brain says and the last one I really certainly believe without a doubt because I’ve had people tell me that i give off the vibe that i don’t want to be bothered. And I don’t want to be bothered at the moment, because it will send my heart into a freak out and make me so nervous. But it would be tolerable because I am so alone. I don’t want to be alone at all. I just can’t approach people. I can’t even handle sitting in the same room as a lot of people without feeling so inferior and fat and ugly and just... worse than them. I feel pretty hopeless that I’ll make friends this semester... maybe not even next semester.

Today has barely tough. I have five children my 20-year-old son is currently in the hospital and he has 365 away it's been really difficult because I want to be able to get to him so I can see him although he's very stable he's actually probably getting ready to go home so. I've been contacting him daily on messenger so I can see his face and hear his voice however certain family members have...

My shrink, whom I trust and like, wants me back in weekly sessions with a therapist.Start this week with newbie. So much whirling in my head I can't even tell what it is.Just had to post where it might be understood. Gonna go try to watch grass grow to calm down. May cry. May claw myself. I hate when my PTSD anxiety ramps up like this. I dislike new people asking about my life. I always feel...

Gentle empathy, Question. Think we can find a way to ignore that mean-mouthed demon? Should we? The gnasty beast just might be right, ya know. I'm uglier than a politician's secret fantasy and meaner 'n a beaten crazy bitch wolf.
You cannot hide forever. You need to face your challeges. But there are ways to make money without seeing anyone. You can learn it online or find a coach to teach you. You can find it on Youtube.
Stand in front of mirror, practice smiling and being confident naturally until you can do this without thinking about it. This will help you be calm knowing you stand tall, look confident, and that you're smiling.
Walk with confidence. Take a route to see the details. Not people, the surroundings. Do this in the cafeteria as well. That way, you relax the facial muscles which makes you more approachable - which is why you practice in front of the mirror, so you can feel the calmness.
You can do this, and you can find your way to a better balance.
School is not about people, friendship, or what everyone else is doing, school is learning about you, what skills, ability, knowledge, and other information you can use to help you build your life onwards.
Best wishes!
What if this is the rest of my life? What if I am never able to make friends? It hurts my heart. I miss my doggy and my loved ones.. I keep tearing up over everything once night falls. I can’t sleep during the night, only during the day. I’m trying to get an ESA to help me cope and develop a better schedule but am afraid people won’t want to help. My social worker and counselor do but I have to see someone else to write the note as it can’t be someone who works at my school. I’m worried I’ll never find a job, I’ve applied to so many and none of them get back to me. It feels really unreasonable to expect me to expect life to get better when there seem to be no prospects of that, aside from maybe an ESA. I have really great grades but my life otherwise is so lonely it’s nearly unbearable. I constantly want to self harm (my counselor knows this and I won’t do it, but it’s a very strong urge).
Why does it have to be like this? What is wrong with me that no one likes me?
You, and only you, can change how you see your experience in life. There is nothing wrong with you. You are liking yourself in this moment.
So, getting a job is important. Hmm, in order to get a job, you must present a liking yourself image. That's the key to your change, figure out what you like about you and use that to add positive image and words to.
And, it is normal for companies to not get back to all applicants. You will have to build up your knowledge, skills, and ability and present in a way that shows in writing.
To make a friend, try being a friend to your self. That will help you to see your thought pattern from a side perspective.
Best wishes.
