Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Hang in there.
Nobody can solve this for you but yourself.
Or are you also in therapy to work on psychological causes?
I hate it when people try a drug for a few weeks then give up or find one that starts working then suddenly becomes paranoid of becoming addicted and stops. You really have only two choices. Live every day just trying to get by with anxiety or keep searching for the right medication that will help you live a better life.
Me? I want a better life even if I do feel like a zombie sometimes.
My problem has always been biological since I was like 14 and since it was never treated until 2012 I developed all sorts phobias and fears ect. My anxiety gave me constantly high blood pressure in the very dangerous range and since starting these medications my BP has been around normal. Anxiety causes high blood pressure. I always suffered from nocturnal anxiety and never could sleep through the night..ever. Tossing and turning. Since starting these meds not once have I awaken during the night even during nightmares which I have suffered my entire life do to something (I'd rather not talk a bout) that happened to me when I was like 14. I still deal with being afraid to go places especially of great distance or very crowded places but it's not nearly as bad as before I was on my medication. I had to go through literally 10 doctors until I finally found one that was willing to understand, and accept my condition and not try to 'play god' with me. I work out 5 days a week also which helps and try to eat right every day (cheating sometimes) and take supplements that don't clash with my meds so it all helps.
I've been doing mostly well with my generalized anxiety until recent days. I've been on klonopin and buspar for anxiety for over a year. My doctor put me on Wellbutrin about 3 weeks ago. I go to therapy . I also go to a support group once a week, work with a certified peer specialist, started a recovery work shop, walk 40 mins a day, watch relaxation tapes, read self help books, etc. I Been to the doctor (prior to this recent issue) and I'm in perfect health minus my acid reflux issues. I hope I passed inspection.
BlueYonde, I do agree with speaking with a doctor for your anxiety. I also suggest drinking water until you can eat something substantial.
Given to me by stalkers who do not care a hoot about threatening me every day.
Yep, anxiety causes high blood pressure.
I also believe that nutrition can impact our anxiety level and when you're able to eat a bit more, it will probably contribute to your feeling better.
Also realize that people can get by on very small amounts of food. It's not ideal but try not to freak out that you're not eating enough. I say this because when I'm in that place, it creates even more anxiety when I think, "Oh my gosh, I'm not eating enough!"
I don't know if it's the best idea, but when I feel anxious, I just eat what sounds good - things I can look forward to.
It sounds like you're doing so many of the right things to work with your anxiety. I hope that you can find peace of mind.
I had anxiety for over 30 years and the thing that finally worked for me is Propranalol to regulate my heart rhythm and L-Theanine which calms me.
Sending hugs.
2 days ago I was given remeron to help with my sleep/appetite/anxiety. I took the min dose on fri night and half the dose sat (because I was feeling a bit better and didn't want to be hooked on meds again.) I was able to actually eat more than usual yesterday and am having a bit more difficulty today. I did have horrible digestive issues last night though - not sure if you experience that when your appetite comes back. Sorry if I'm not much help, in the past when my anxiety has resolved my appetite has come back to normal. I've done it with/without meds, although this time around it feels far worse than the times I was able to recover without meds.
