Then I practiced ignoring the loud sounds with my own sounds...every time I heard the loud sounds, I thought of comforting sea/rain sounds.
You can do this. Breathing exercises can help you find calm as well.
Can you go for walks. With the bad weather, I go to the malls and walk......sometimes I hook up earphones and listen to relaxation music or even some fun music with positive lyrics (Pharrell Williams....."Happy" or Rachel Platton....."Fight Song").
Walking or doing something physical yet safe such as working out or walking helps release pent up emotions safely. This is very important to acknowledge, allow, and release your feelings so they don't get stored in the body.
Make sure you eat as healthy as you can, drink plenty of clean water, and get as much good sleep as possible (I know this is a challenge for insomniacs.....been there. done that. don't stress over it as eventually I will get sleepy and sleep).
I guess the trick is to keep as much distance between you and those that "irk" you until you can get your own place.
Know that their problems are their's and not for you to take on. However, I do understand that listening to it day in and day out can wear on you.....so find hobbies or good friends outside the home. Make sure you hang out with positive ppl and to not dwell on homelife. Focus on what you want your life to be and put all your energy into that.

Don't be hard on yourself.......and don't give up.
Put some relaxation music and headphones on and just zone out the best you can. Perfection is not required......that comes with time.
There are guided meditations on youtube that you can learn to just relax......deep breathing will come with time.
Make sure you find a place where you can be alone without distractions by your phone or demands of ppl.
Hang in there kiddo......you can do this!!!!!
