Drink water, deep breaths, journaling, etc.
Staying hydrated, even breathing, keeping a private daily journal are the top three ways to find your better balance.
Anxiety is natural. Anxiety is a part of us. Learning how to make it work for us happens through writing it out. You've taken the important first step in writing it out. The more you write it out, the easier it is to see the pattern of your thoughts and feelings.
Thanks a lot for your response and support.
Since I have started accepting anxiety as a fully natural part of my survival instinct, it has been much easier for me to work with Mother Nature instead of continually fighting her and falling into despair every time I prove weaker than her will.
My therapy support network is the stabilizing force which helps me accomplish that relief while remaining a part of humanity's unnatural demands. I see the pros on that network as the reference books which provide valuable information without ever leaving the library. My goal is to get those high dollar books back on the shelf as quickly as possible. It be my peer supporters who help me feel less alone in the struggle and how to use that info in the trenches of life.
Welcome aboard. Hope you find stabilizing companionship here.
Since you have had anxiety for about half of your life, I was wondering if you had tried therapy? I think talking to a professional can help sort things out. My therapist helps me.
Have you tried any medications? There are some great medications that really help social anxiety, one of them is called Paxil. When I took it, I had zero social anxiety... was talking to everyone and anyone! Lol!
Anyway, you are not alone and there is help out there. Keep us posted.
Yes I did therapy for my anxiety. I was on Sertraline and Betacap for anxiety and palpitations, respectively for a year or so. I also took Clonazepam in case of emergency or acute anxiety due to panic attacks.
Recently, I also had access to talking therapies. But due to lock-down being in effect I could not reach out to them.
Presently I am trying using various apps for mindfulness, breathing and relaxation techniques. These have helped me a lot.
Thank you so much for your encouraging words. Great to hear that you are on the healing path. More power to you!
I am also trying everyday to indulge in activities that would provide me with coping strategies to deal with my anxiety.
